HOUSE 81

This house is a variation on House 61.The key elements of this four bedroom house are the corner bedrooms. Each features glass walls that open upon a garden surrounded by a grass berm and trellis. The garden plane lies just below the bedroom window sill which is about the height of the desktops within the bedroom. The real enclosure for the bedrooms is the vine-drapped trellis surrounding the garden. In other words, the garden becomes a part of the bedroom. The concrete roof tiles are designed to incorporate modular photovotaic cells. Tiles not in optimum position, i. e. not oriented ideally, or in shadows do not receive the solar cells.
